Founded by Mrs. Delorie Finch — a 40-year beacon of early education in North Portland — TFA supports under-resourced families with excellence, equity, and opportunity for every child.

Meet Our Founder

Mrs. Delorie Finch

Founder & Director

For more than 40 years, Mrs. Finch has been a beacon of early childhood education in inner North Portland, teaching hundreds of children and families. Rooted in this very neighborhood she has served for decades, she established The Finch Academy to create a school where every child — regardless of their family's socioeconomic status — has access to an exceptional, nurturing, and structured early education.
